When you join us as a RoofBidsNow contractor, you create a company profile showcasing your company's qualities for potential buyers.
You'll provide not only your company info, but also featured projects and select the type of roofing and/or manufacturer(s) you specialize in.
The more information you can provide, the better your chances of being invited to and awarded bids!
From your portfolio, you can manage all projects you are
bidding. From this one area, you can see what stage a project is in, and
select how you want to handle each opportunity.
Each area has different information, but at any time, you can click on
a project to get more detailed information:
- All Opportunities - This page lists all projects you have been invited to, regardless of the project's status.
- Open Opportunties - This area gives you a summary of projects
you have been invited to bid. It lists where the project is located,
and when the bid is due. In the project detail area, you can post
a bid, respond to messages, or decline the invitation.
- Bid Awarded - The projects in this section have been awarded to your company, but you have not yet
begun work on them.
- In Production - These are projects which you have been awarded.
Here it shows you the contract amount and the project start date.
In the project detail area, you can view the bids to see how all contractors
compared, or you can decline the project award.
- Completed - These are projects which have been marked as completed
by the buyer. It shows the contract price and the completion date.
You can also view buyer feedback and have a chance to respond.
- Lost Projects - This area lists projects that you were invited to bid on, but were awarded to other contractors.
When viewing an open opportunity detail page, you can review all the information about the project including when the bid is due, specifications, drawings, photos and contact information. If a buyer has questions, they can leave messages for you to respond to.
Submitting a bid is simple. In the "Place a Bid" area, just enter a base bid, an alternate bid (if requested), upload an optional bid package for the buyer to review and you're all set!
RoofBidsNow.com offers reporting tools so you can see how the site is benefitting your company.
Your portfolio can be organized by several different views that allow you to see how many bid opportunties you are being invited, how many you bid, how many awarded, and how many lost.
The "All Opportunities" page lists every project you have been invited to, with the current status of each project listed next to it.
Getting project awards is what it's all about. The following best practices will help you get more bid opportunties, so you can focus on closing
the deal!
- Have a clean, informative company profile. First impressions are everything, so make sure yours is a positive one!
- Provide the buyer with the best product and service for their money. Buyers will leave feedback
which you can respond to so future buyers can see how you compare to other
contractors. Positive feedback will increase your chances for future opportunities.
- Use the sales tools to see how you compare to other bidders. Know how many
opportunties you are receiving and how many opportunities you close.
These reports are valuable in helping you improve your bidding and stay
competetive.
